Community Rules - PashtoScoop

PashtoScoop Community is home to awesome posts created by our contributors. To become a contributor, all you need to do is sign up for an account and being submitting your posts!

Before joining the PashtoScoop community, please refer to these Community Rules:

1. The Community is subject to PashtoScoops’s Terms of Service

This part is important: PashtoScoop Community is subject to PashtoScoop’s Terms of Srvice, also referred to as ‘User Agreement’. Please read the User Agreement now. Sending us an email saying you “forgot to” after you violated the rules is not an excuse. Those rules are important, not least because they put all Community members on notice that PashtoScoop reserves the right to deactivate any account that violates these rules or the rules in the User Agreement without notice to the user. Please read them.

2. The Community is not for self-promotion

The PashtoScoop Community is a place for you to share what you love with our audience. It’s not a place for self-promotion.

🤔 So what is self promotion? You may ask.

Well, for starters, self-promotion means publicizing yourself or promoting your work, which include any business or service or product you may be selling or provding.

PashtoScoop Community is not the place to yell “SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL!!!,” or “FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM” et cetera.

As much as we believe in your awesomeness, Our Community isn’t the platform for highlighting it.

3. It is not for you or your opinionated kaka jee to talk politics

Here in Our Community, we have a strict no-politics rule. If you’ve got a hankering to talk about politics, please find a different forum.

4. It is not a place for you to make money

We understand that you’re enterprising and are looking for a website to post promotional articles but PashtoScoop Community is not the platform to feature those articles. If any such content in our Community is spotted under your name, your account will be terminated.

5. It is is not a place to try your hand at reporting

PashtoScoop Community is not a part of PashtoScoop News. If you want to pitch a PashtoScoop News editor on an article idea, check out this article or look up an editor on PashtoScoop News’ masthead and pitch them directly.

6. It is not a place to wage a war

PashtoScoop Community aims to bring people together, not push them apart. Having said that, you must avoid posting any threatening, harassing, defamatory, deceptive, fraudulent, invasive of another’s privacy, tortious, vulgar, or pornographic content. This includes your rants about how much you hate Anday wala burger or prefer Ashak over Mantu. You get the point, if you’re waging a war, wage it somewhere else.

7. Do not use other’s content without prior permission

We want you to feature your own original work—not someone else’s. So please, whether it be text, photos, gifs, etc., post only content that you have the rights to post and source every image.

8. Do not spam

Just like no one reads spam emails, no one is going to show interest in Spam Community posts so avoid spamming.

To us, spamming means the stuff that is irrelevant to the Community’s content and agenda, posted without any consideration as to quality or whether it advances the Community’s goal of bringing people together.

We don’t need to see a bunch of random infographics on the price of gas from around the world. Keep your content relevant for the Community and our audience (majority of which are Pashtuns).

9. Last but not the least: Be a human

As much as we love pets, the Community is made for humans only. To make sure you don’t break this one; treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn’t allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

📙 Remember: PashtoScoop Community is subject to PashtoScoop’s Terms of Service, which you can check out here.
